How to Communicate Value to Stakeholders

Metrics alone don’t tell the whole story. Here’s how to translate them into meaningful impact.

1. Total Value Generated

Best for:

  • Internal ROI discussions.

  • Sharing potential future value with sponsors.

Result:

An ROI multiplier—showing how many times Getro pays for itself.

How to Calculate:

  1. Pipeline Value:

    • Team Assisted Hires × $4,700 = X

    • Likely Applied × $40 = Y

    • Page Visits × $3.33 = Z

  2. Total Value: X + Y + Z

  3. ROI Multiplier: Total Value ÷ Annual Getro Spend

2. Value by Company

Best for:

  • Showing impact to individual companies (great for retention or sponsor updates).

Result:

A per-company breakdown of traffic and value generated.

How to Calculate:

  1. Download Likely Applied data (Home page → date range → download).

  2. Clean in Google Sheets: remove ID column, add filters, sort by clicks.

  3. Create a Pivot Table:

    • Rows → Company Name

    • Values → Clicks (#)

  4. Multiply each company’s clicks by $40 to get pipeline value.

Additional Metrics to Track

To get a full ROI picture, consider tracking these external metrics too:

    • See where traffic comes from and which channels work best.

  2. Social Traction

    • Promote your job board (especially on LinkedIn).

    • Use LinkedIn metrics (impressions, clicks) to measure engagement.

    • ? See our promotion tips video and how-to guide.

  3. Newsletter Clicks

    • Track open rates and clicks for job board mentions in your newsletters.

    • Use unique links to pre-filter job board views (e.g., “Remote Software Engineering Jobs Across Our Portfolio”).

Summary

By combining Getro’s internal metrics with external data points, you can:

  • Quantify your job board’s total value.

  • Demonstrate ROI to different audiences.

  • Adjust engagement strategies for maximum impact.
