In GetroConnect, there are two main types of lists you can create: Contact Lists and Company Lists. Each serves a different purpose and can help you and your network connect more effectively.
1. Contact Lists
A Contact List is built around specific people in your network. These are best when you want to share a set of targeted contacts with others, often for hiring or advisory purposes.
How to Create a Contact List:
Go to the Contacts page or use the Lists section.
Apply filters (manual or AI-powered) to find the right people. For example:
Search for “Sales Leaders” to pull matching job titles.
Add other filters (location, industry, seniority, etc.).
Name your list and choose whether to turn AI Matches on or off.
Enable Auto Update so new contacts meeting the criteria are added automatically (see our Auto-Updating Lists article for details).
Example Use Case:
You create a list of sales leaders in your network, share it with portfolio companies hiring for sales roles, and they can request introductions to anyone on that list.
2. Company Lists
A Company List is built around organizations you want to target. These are most useful for business development, partnership outreach, or investment follow-up.
How to Create a Company List:
Start with a list of company names (and ideally websites).
Add them to a new Company List in GetroConnect.
GetroConnect will show you:
Who in your network is connected to people at those companies.
The contact’s role and seniority.
Example Use Case:
A portfolio company provides you with 50 target accounts they want to sell into. You add these companies to a Company List, and GetroConnect shows who in your network can make introductions.
