How to Track Introductions in GetroConnect

Getro is your go-to tool for managing warm introductions—whether for hiring, business development, follow-on investment, or other opportunities. You can now track intros directly within Getro, instead of managing the tracking in a separate system.




Tracking Intros from a Company-Based List


A Company-Based List is ideal when, for example, a portfolio company wants to sell into specific target companies.


Steps:

  1. Create a Company-Based List and add the URLs of the target companies.

  2. Share the list with colleagues, advisors, or others in your network.

  3. If someone (including you) is connected to contacts at those companies, they can click Offer Intro.

  4. Once they click the button, you’ll see their offer recorded on the Intro page in Getro.

  5. You can view intros offered by you and by others who have access to the list.


Tracking Intros from a People-Based List


A People-Based List works well when a portfolio company is hiring for a specific role.


Steps:

  1. Create a People-Based List and share it with the hiring company.

  2. The company can request introductions to people on the list.

  3. Requests initiate an email flow for managing the intro process.

  4. Use the Board View in Getro to manually track:

    • Intro Requested

    • Intro Made

    • Any other custom status you’d like to add

  5. Drag and drop cards in Board View to update intro statuses.


(Note: Intro tracking automation is in development. For now, Board View is the best way to manage this manually.)


Intro Tracking in Analytics


From the Analytics tab, you can:

  • See Intro Requests Received from company-based lists.

  • Review historical intro activity.

  • Export intro request data for reporting or analysis.
